This community event is to mark the anniversary of 100 years since the start of World War I. The aim is to recapture the spirit which helped the allies win the World Wars through the uplifting songs and music popular during World War I and II. In addition to performances by several Christchurch artists the audience will have a chance to have a good singsong, joining in with many classic songs of the time including It’s a long way to Tipperary, Run Rabbit Run, Glenn Miller Hits and a tribute to Vera Lynn and the Andrew Sisters.
The event is to be held on Monday 4th August from 1.30 – 3 pm ( doors open at 1 pm.) at North City Church, Papanui. Tickets are just $7 and are being sold via eventfinder (100 years on) or direct from June Burney on 03 3257 226. Sorry we can’t take door sales
